My Quest for Hershey's Kisses

In December 2010, I asked a simple question: How many kinds of Hershey's Kisses are there? At least I though it was a simple question. I knew of the original flavors, almonds, caramel, some minty ones, and my favorite; Candy Cane. But I knew there had to be others. So I set out to find a comprehensive list. Easier said than done! The Hershey's website only lists current, USA flavors (and not all of them, at that!). Other lists are years old or filled with gaps. Then I found this site: Zoe's Hershey Kiss Collection. Zoe has made it her mission (at only 11 years old!) to taste and collect all the chocolate kisses that Hershey's comes out with. She keeps her site up to date with family and reader tips. So her list is the one I'm going to trust right now.

So how many varieties are there? 61. Yes, that's right. Sixty-one varieties of Hershey's Kisses! I, like Zoe, want to taste and photograph each and every one of them (because if you truly love chocolate, you should document it, of course!).

If you find any new kisses out there in the world, please let me know!

So here is my page dedicated to my Quest for Kisses!

The kisses listed in bold red are the ones I've documented on my quest. (I have tried some of these flavors before, but that was before my official Quest - I have not photographed them)

Kisses I've tried:

Picture
Chocolate Truffle - A special release for Valentine's Day. This kiss has a dark chocolate outside covering a creamy milk chocolate truffle inside. Very simple and very tasty. *January 2015*
Picture
Air Delight - A brand new flavor! Milk chocolate surrounding air-infused milk chocolate. It's like it's full of little bubbles. A much lighter flavor than the regular kisses. *June 2011*
Picture
Coconut Creme - Move over Candy Cane, I may have a new favorite Kiss! A creamy coconut creme with real bits of coconut inside a milk chocolate shell. Only available for Easter. *April 2011*
Picture
Raspberry Hugs - Milk Chocolate wrapped in raspberry-flavored white chocolate and red stripes. I was not a fan of this flavor - too fake. Only available during Valentine season. *Feb 2011*
Picture
Hugs - Classic Hershey's Milk Chocolate wrapped in white chocolate with milk chocolate stripes. I have always liked this flavor, but I can only eat a few at a time. Which might be a good thing! *Jan 2011*
Picture
Irish Creme - A milk chocolate shell surrounding a solid creme center that tastes like an very sweet, non-alcoholic version of Bailey's Irish Creme drink. *Dec 2010*
Picture
Milk Chocolate Cherry Cordial - A classic milk chocolate shell surrounding a sweet, syrupy cherry center. Definitely tastes like a cherry cordial, but without the cherry. If you like those, you'll like this. *Dec 2010*
Picture
Candy Cane - my absolute favorite kiss! Only available during the winter holiday season. It's a minty white chocolate with little candy-cane bits inside. *Dec 2010*
Picture
Pumpkin Spice - The bright orange outside of this kiss should have been warning enough, but I tasted it anyway. Yuck! Overwhelming spice flavor, then too sweet to try to cover it up. Never again. *October 2012*
Picture
Milk Chocolate Almond - Another classic flavor that can be found year-round. Milk chocolate surrounding a single almond. Tasty & simple, but not one that gets chosen often. *April 2011*
Picture
Creme de Menthe - A dark chocolate shell with a creamy, minty inside. A deeper, darker flavor than the Mint Truffle. I didn't enjoy this one very much. Only available for St. Patrick's Day. *March 2011*
Picture
Cookies 'n' Creme - A tasty new discovery! Sweet white chocolate with mini cookie-bits inside, just like the Hershey's cookies and creme candy bar. I really liked this one. *January 2011*
Picture
Caramel - One of my all-time favorite kisses! A sweet milk chocolate exterior with just a little dollop of creamy caramel inside. *Jan 2011*
Picture
Mint Truffle - Only available during the winter holiday season. This is the first time I'd ever tried this flavor. A dark chocolate exterior with a creamy mint filling. Very minty, very tasty. *Dec 2010*
Picture
Special Dark - A little more bitter than the milk chocolate, but still a very sweet treat. *Dec 2010*
Picture
The Classic Milk Chocolate Kiss - Simple, sweet, and satisfying to your sweet tooth. *Dec 2010*
